1. Hello listening friends,

2. We are glad that you tune in week after week,

4. Today we come to the fourth time in the Bible where Jesus says, I Am.

5. In the Greek, that word means Ego-Aimee,
希腊文的“我是”叫作“EGO-AIMEE”,

6. There is no other person who has ever claimed to say, I Am.
除耶稣外,再没有第二个人这样称呼过自己。

7. Jesus alone could say I Am, Ego-Aimee.
只有耶稣说:我是,EGO-AIMEE。

8. We have studied how Jesus said I am the bread of life,
我们已经看过耶稣是怎样说:我就是生命的粮,

9. I am the light of the world,
我是世界的光,

10. I am the door of the sheep fold.
我是羊的门。

11. And here in John chapter 10,
在约翰福音第10章,

12. Verses 11 to 18,
11节到18节,

13. Jesus said, I am the good shepherd.
耶稣说:我是好牧人。

14. In our last radio broadcast,
在上次节目中,

15. You will remember Jesus declared himself to be,
你一定记得耶稣对自己的称呼,

16. The door of the sheep fold.
祂是羊圈的门。

17. Right after he opened the eyes of the man born blind,
当祂使一个天生瞎眼的人得见光明后,

18. When the Lord opened the eyes of the blind man,
当我们的主开了瞎子的眼睛,

19. The religious authorities immediately threw the man out of the Jewish synagogue,
那些宗教领袖就立即把那人赶出了犹太会堂,

20. But Jesus reached out to him and added him to his new church,
但耶稣却找到他,并使他加入了新的教会,

21. The New Testament and the new covenant church,
也就是新约和新约教会,

22. The church of Jesus Christ.
是耶稣基督的教会。

23. And right at that point,
也就是在那个时候,

24. Jesus turned to the Pharisees and to the religious authorities and said:
耶稣对法利赛人和宗教领袖说:

25. I am the door of the sheep fold.
我是羊的门。

26. I am the good shepherd.
我是好牧人。

27. Those original hearers of Jesus’ declaration,
当年听到耶稣亲口所说的人,

28. They understood fully not only the life of the shepherd, but also the life of the sheep.
他们完全了解牧羊人的生活,也了解羊的生命。

29. But they also understood the fact that God was Israel’s shepherd.
同时他们也知道,上帝乃是以色列人的牧者。

30. Yahweh was Israel’s shepherd,
耶和华是以色列的牧者;

31. He was their ruler,
祂是他们的统治者;

32. He was their protector,
是他们的保护者;

33. He was their leader with all of his caring and compassion.
是他们满有恩惠慈爱的引导者。

34. Thus when Jesus declared I am the good shepherd,
因此,当耶稣宣称自己是好牧人时,

35. He was saying, I am God incarnate.
祂是在说,我就是道成肉身的神。

36. I am the good shepherd who will give his life to his sheep.
我就是为羊舍命的好牧人。

37. I am the good shepherd who cares for your daily needs.
我就是照顾你日用所需的好牧人。

38. I am the good shepherd who feeds you and protects you.
我就是喂养你,保护你的好牧人。

39. I am the good shepherd who must ultimately deal with the bad wolf, Satan,
我就是最终会对付大灰狼撒但的好牧人,

40. Ultimately this big bad wolf is the one who operates behind the false shepherds,
这大灰狼就是在后面操纵那些假牧人的撒但,

41. Jesus will unmask him.
耶稣会拆穿他的伪装。

42. I am the good shepherd who knows his sheep by name said Jesus.
耶稣说:我是好牧人,我认得我的羊。

43. I know their hurts before they feel them.
甚至在他们还没有感觉到痛时,我已经知道他们的伤痛。

44. I know their failures before they experience them.
在他们还没有体会到失败的滋味前,我就知道他们的失败。

45. I know their weaknesses before they do,

46. I am the good shepherd.

47. In this passage of John 10:11,
在约翰福音10章11节中,

48. Jesus gives us three characteristics of the good shepherd.
耶稣为我们描绘了好牧人的三个特点。

49. First,

50. Verse 11,

51. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
好牧人为羊舍命。

52. Secondly,

53. Verses 12, 13, & 14,

54. The good shepherd proves his ownership of the sheep by mutual recognition.
好牧人与羊群彼此认识,确认这些是属于他的羊。

55. Thirdly,

56. The good shepherd unites his sheep,
好牧人使羊群聚集合一,

57. Verse 16.
在第16节。

58. Let’s look at the first characteristic,
让我们先来看第一点,

59. The good shepherd lays his life for the sheep.
好牧人为羊舍命。

60. Here is where Jesus astounds the Pharisees of his day,
这就是耶稣使当时的法利赛人感到讶异的地方,

61. To say that he is the good shepherd, they understood that,
说自己是好牧人,他们还能接受,

62. But to say that he lays his life down for the sheep voluntarily,
但说自己会为羊舍命,

63. That didn’t make sense.
听起来就很荒谬。

64. As you may know,
你也许知道,

65. When a Palestinian shepherd dies in defense of his sheep,
一个巴勒斯坦牧人为保护羊群而死,

66. It is often an accident.
多半是意外事故。

67. The shepherd plans to live for his sheep, not die for them.
牧人是为羊活着,而不是为羊去死。

68. You see, the death of a good shepherd in the land of Palestine meant a disaster for the sheep,
要知道,在巴勒斯坦地区,一个好牧人的死对羊群来说是灾难,

69. But the death of Jesus, the good shepherd, means life for the sheep.
但耶稣这个好牧人的死,对羊群来说却是生命。

70. Let me give you a quick illustration.
让我很快给你讲个故事。

71. In 1982,
在1982年,

72. There was a plane that fell down in a frozen water of one of the rivers.
有一架飞机坠落在一条结冰的河上。

73. One man was standing on the edge of the river,
有一个人正好站在河边,

74. He was a good swimmer,
他的水性很好,

75. He dove into the frozen waters,
他一头扎进冰水中,

76. And tried to save as many people as he can.
竭尽全力想要多救一些人。

77. Every time the helicopter sent a life line for him,
每当直升机放下救生缆绳,

78. He would pass it on the somebody else.
他都让给了别人。

79. He knew how frozen his body felt,
他知道自己的身体有多么冰冷殭硬,

80. And he knew that he could not hold anymore.
他知道自己再也承受不住了。

81. As he passed that line to one very last person,
当他把最后一根缆绳给了最后一个人后,

82. He himself died.
他就死了。

83. This is an example of one man dying for another as a result of an accident.
这就是在一场意外中,一个人为多人而死。

84. But when Jesus said:
但耶稣说:

85. I lay my life down for the sheep.
我为羊舍命。

86. He had a plan,
祂是有计划的,

87. He had a design.
是祂设计好的。

88. Jesus came from heaven so that he would die for the sheep,
耶稣从天而降就是要为羊舍命,

89. Because Jesus knew that this was the only way.
因为耶稣知道这是唯一的办法。

90. Not merely to lengthen our lives,
并不仅仅只是延长我们的寿命,

91. Not just to improve the quality of our lives,
也不只是要提高我们生命的质量,

92. Not just to give us a new chance on life,
也不只是要给我们的人生一个新的机会,

93. But to provide the means for the sheep to live forever.
乃是为羊提供一个可以永远活着的方法。

94. Jesus is different from any other,
耶稣不同于其它人,

95. Because he is the only door to the sheep fold,
因为祂是羊圈唯一的门,

96. Therefore he is the only good shepherd.
因此唯有祂是那独一的好牧人。

97. If you have your Bible with you, look at verse 12 of John chapter 10.
如果你有圣经,请翻到约翰福音,10章12节。

98. He said the hired hand is no shepherd at all,
耶稣说,雇工并不是牧人,

SECTION B
乙部

1. The moment he sees the big bad wolf he will run away.
一看到大灰狼他就逃跑了。

2. Most people don’t work hard on their jobs,
大部分人都不会克尽职守,

3. If they don’t own their own business,
如果他们不是公司的老板,

4. They don’t care about their employer,
他们不在乎雇主的利益,

5. Often they leave work early.
通常会早早下班。

6. But the owner of the company cannot do that,
但公司的老板却不会这样,

7. He stays there and he tries every way to salvage the company.
他为公司尽心竭力。

8. Why?
为甚么?

9. Because he is the owner.
因为他是老板。

10. This is his life blood,
这是他的心血,

11. He owns the company,
他拥有这间公司,

12. His own future is tied in with his company.
他自己的未来与公司的命运息息相关。

13. From this secular example, you can understand what Jesus meant.
从这个属世的例子,你可能会了解耶稣的意思。

14. The picture here is of a person whose only interest is what he is paid for doing a job,
如果一个人只在意一份工作能给他带来多少收入,

15. Rather than the job itself,
而不关心工作本身,

16. Such a person lacks the pride of ownership,
那么,这个人就缺乏了一份拥有者的荣誉感,

17. And the care that proceeds from possession.
也不会在乎公司有多少营利。

18. When he sees the wolf coming,
当他看到狼群扑来时,

19. He doesn’t stay there and fight him,
他不会坚守岗位奋力抵抗,

20. Instead he abandons the sheep and runs.
反而会丢弃羊群,仓皇而逃。

21. When he runs,
他逃走了,

22. The wolf will get some of the sheep,
有些羊被狼吞吃了,

23. But the rest will go out running for their lives.
剩下的羊会四处逃命。

24. The Mishna, which is the book of Jewish tradition says:
一本关于犹太传统的书“米示拿”中说到:

25. That there are legal responsibility for the hired shepherd.
受雇用的牧人有法律责任。

26. It says that when a wolf attacks,
当一只狼来袭击羊群时,

27. Then the hired shepherd is under obligation to fight him.
被雇的牧人有义务要去与狼搏斗。

28. But if there is a pack of wolves attacking,
如果是一群狼来攻击,

29. This is considered unavoidable accident and no blame is fixed on the hired shepherd.
就会被当作是“不可避免的灾祸”,而牧人也不会被责问。

30. But,
但是,

31. Jesus gives his life for the sheep without condition.
耶稣为羊舍命是毫无条件的。

32. In verse 11 Jesus said:
在11节中耶稣说:

33. The good shepherd lays his life down for the sheep.
好牧人为羊舍命。

34. In verse 15 Jesus said:
15节耶稣说:

35. I lay down my life for the sheep.
我为我的羊舍命。

36. In verse 17,
在17节那里说,

37. The Father loves me because I lay down my life only to take it back again.
我父爱我,因我将命舍去,好再取回来。

38. How will he lay down his life?
祂怎样舍命呢?

39. He will confront the big bad wolf once and for all,
祂会正面地与大灰狼对峙,

40. The big bad wolf who comes to destroy and to harm and to harass and to kill had to be defeated.
这只来破坏,伤害,骚扰,杀害羊羔的大灰狼会被打败。

41. Jesus is saying that in order to overcome the big bad wolf,
耶稣是说,为了战胜大灰狼,

42. The good shepherd will lay down his life to stop him from killing the sheep.
好牧人会舍去自己的性命,为要阻止狼伤害羊群。

43. Jesus is saying that I will get down to the gutter where the wolf is ,
耶稣是说,我会进入虎穴狼窝,

44. And I will hang on an instrument of torture called the cross.
我会被挂在“十字架”这种刑具上。

45. And when I am lifted up on the cross,
当我在十字架 上被举起来的时候,

46. I’m going to break his legs,
狼的腿就会被折断,

47. And I will hit his head,
牠的头会被打伤,

48. So he will have some brain damage,
牠的脑部会严重受伤,

49. And cannot harm my sheep anymore.
再也不能伤害我的羊了。

50. Jesus was saying that when I am through with the big bad wolf,
耶稣是在说,当祂打败了大灰狼,

51. This wolf is only going to howl and growl but he cannot bite the sheep.
这狼虽然会咆哮唬人,可牠再也不能吞吃羊群了。

52. Because I broke his jaw and his teeth came out.
因为我已打伤牠的下腭,打碎了牠的牙齿。

53. I will lay down my life and then take it again in victory of the resurrection.
我舍命,又要在复活的时候再取回来。

54. And by my victory my sheep will have victory.
因我的得胜,我的羊也要得胜。

55. By my triumph my sheep will experience triumph.
靠着我的胜利,我的羊也会胜利。

56. By my power my sheep will have power.
靠着我的能力,我的羊也会有能力。

57. The Father loves me,
我父爱我,

58. Because I lay down my life,
因我将命舍去,

59. So that I may take it again.
好再取回来。

60. Secondly,
第二,

61. The good shepherd has proof of ownership.
确认羊群是属于好牧人的。

62. Look at verses 12 to 14.
我们来看12到14节。

63. He knows his sheep,
祂认识祂的羊,

64. And his sheep know him.
祂的羊也认识祂。

65. In the time of Jesus,
在耶稣的时代,

66. The relationship between shepherd and sheep was a very special relationship.
牧人和羊之间有一种特殊的关系。

67. That relationship was so intimate,
这关系非常的亲密,

68. That most of us don’t understand it fully,
我们大多数人都不能够完全体会,

69. Especially those of us who live in the west.
特别是生活在西方的人。

70. Jesus said:
耶稣说:

71. That my sheep know my voice.
我的羊认得我的声音。

72. And that is literally true,
这是非常真实的,

73. This is not a figure of speech.
并不是一种修辞方式。

74. If a stranger came along,
如果有陌生人来,

75. The sheep would shrink back.
羊群就会退后。

76. They know their shepherds voice,
牠们认得牧羊人的声音,

77. And they follow him when he calls.
牠们会跟随牧羊人的呼喊。

78. During World War I,
在第一次世界大战中,

79. There were some Turkish soldiers who tried to steal a flock of sheep near the hills of Jerusalem.
在耶路撒冷附近的山区,有一些土耳其士兵想要偷一群羊。

80. The shepherd who had been sleeping was suddenly awakened,
正在熟睡的牧羊人突然惊醒过来,

81. And he saw his sheep being driven off to the other side of the ravine,
他看见羊群正被赶下山谷,

82. He knew he could not capture his flock by himself,
他知道自己不能追回这么多羊,

83. He could not stand against all these soldiers.
也打不过这么多士兵。

84. Standing on the one side of the ravine,
于是他站在山谷的另一面,

85. The shepherd put his hand on his mouth,
牧羊人把手放在嘴边,

86. And he gave his own peculiar call,
发出一声独特的呼喊,

87. Which he used each day to gather his sheep to him.
是他每天召聚羊群的声音。

88. And the moment the sheep heard that familiar sound,
当羊群一听到这熟悉的声音,

89. They stopped.
牠们就停了下来。

90. And on hearing it the second time,
当第二次听到那声音,

91. They turned around,
牠们就转过头来,

92. And they rushed one side of the ravine and up to the other toward the shepherd,
冲向山谷的另一边,回到牧羊人那里,

93. It was impossible for the soldiers to stop the sheep,
士兵完全无法阻止羊群,

94. The sheep know the shepherds voice.
因为羊认得牧羊人的声音。

95. Even the lazy sheep,
即便是一头懒惰的羊,

96. Even the stubborn sheep,
即便是一头倔强的羊,

97. Even the rebellious sheep,
即便是一头叛逆的羊,

98. They may foolishly try to ignore his voice,
牠们可能会故意不理牧羊人的声音,

99. They may ignorantly follow other voices that sound similar to his,
他们可能会笨到去跟随一个相似的声音,

SECTION C
丙部

1. But he has his way of getting his own back.
但牧羊人却有自己的方法叫他的羊回来。

2. Believers are Jesus’ flock,
信徒就是耶稣的羊群,

3. They will react the same way as the sheep did in this illustration,
他们会像我刚刚说的这个比喻一样,

4. They will hear Jesus’ voice and Jesus’ words,
他们听得见耶稣的声音和祂的话语,

5. And thus their spirit will connect with his holy spirit.
他们的心灵就会与耶稣的圣灵连接起来。

6. If God’s word is your guide and your boundary,
如果神的话语是你的指引和规范;

7. If God’s word is your food and your drink,
如果神的话语是你的粮食;

8. If it is your delight and not your fight,
如果神的话语是你的喜乐,而不是你的挣扎;

9. Then you know that you are a sheep of Jesus,
那么你就知道自己是耶稣的羊,

10. And Jesus is your shepherd.
而耶稣就是你的牧人。
