2. It is a pleasure to have you with us today.

3. We are in the midst of a series of messages entitled, “What Does Jesus Think?”

4. These messages are from the Book of Revelation.

5. In these messages, we are looking at the seven letters Jesus wrote to the seven churches.

6. Today, we will be looking at the letter to the church in Thyatira.
今天,我们要来看看给推雅推喇教会的书信。

7. I know you will agree with me that we are all influence by others.
我想你会同意,我们都会受到他人的影响。

8. Some influence us for good and some influence us for ill.
我们会受影响从善,或受影响行恶。

9. If you do not have discernment,
如果你缺乏分辨力的话,

10. then I want you to listen to the rest of this message.

11. Parents need to do all they can to help their children develop discernment.
家长们应该全力以赴,帮助自己的孩子培养辨别力。

12. Bible teachers need to do all they can to help their students develop discernment.
圣经老师也需要尽心竭力,帮助自己的学生培养辨别力。

13. In the age in which we live,
在我们生活的这个时代,

14. probably the most important lesson we can teach others is discernment-
我们能够教导别人最重要的功课,也许就是如何提高分辨力了……

15. discernment to distinguish between right and wrong,
这种分辨力可以区分对与错,

16. discernment to distinguish between true teachings and false ones,
这种分辨力可以识别真理与谬误的教导,

17. and also discernment to distinguish the more important from the less important,
这种分辨力可以解读哪些更重要,而哪些不太重要,

18. the essential from the unnecessary,
辨别哪些是必须的,哪些不是,

19. the permanent from the transient,
哪些是永恒的,哪些是短暂的,

20. the good from the best.
哪些是最好的,哪些是一般的。

21. Without the skill of discernment, you will drift away from the truth and cause yourself a great deal of heartache;
如果没有辨别的能力,你就会渐渐地偏离真理,给自己带来心灵的重创;

22. and, according to Jesus, drifting away from the truth has a tragic price tag.
耶稣告诉我们,偏离真理会付上惨痛的代价。

23. Now, listen to the words of the risen Christ to the church in Thyatira;
现在,我们一起来听,复活的基督对推雅推喇教会所说的话;

24. and it is found in the Book of Revelation. That is the last Book in the Bible, Chapter 2, verses 18 to 29.
在圣经的最后一卷书启示录中,第2章18节到29节。

25. Thyatira, the town, was small and insignificant in comparison to the other six cities.
推雅推喇这个城市,与其它六个城市相比,是一个不起眼的小镇。

26. It was founded by Alexander the Great.
它是由亚历山大大帝创建的。

27. Its claim to fame was that it was the headquarters for the various trade unions.
它因作为各种货物交易商会的总部而闻名。

28. Its main industries were wool and dye, especially purple dye.
其主要的工业有羊毛和染料,尤其是紫色染料。

29. The primary god that they worshipped was the Greek god, Apollo.
当地人主要是敬拜希腊的阿波罗神。

30. The main pressure that Christians had experienced in Thyatira came from the trade unions.
基督徒在推雅推喇所受到的压力,主要来自商会。

31. Let me explain.
我来解释一下。

32. To hold a job in Thyatira, you had to join a union;
你要想在推雅推喇保持一份工作的话,就得加入一个商会;

33. but each trade union had a patron god in whose honor pagan festivals were held.
而每个商会都供奉一个保护神,在异教徒节日里他们就会敬拜。

34. These pagan festivals required people to eat meat that had been offered to idols.
在这些异教徒节日中,会让人们吃祭拜过偶像的肉食。

35. They also required people to practice sexual immorality.
还让人们行奸淫。

36. The Christians who would refuse to participate in these pagan festivals lost their jobs.
如果基督徒拒绝参加这些异教徒习俗的话,就会丢掉工作。

37. What is their answer to this dilemma?
他们如何应对这进退两难的局面呢?

38. Well, some clever church members said, “No problem.
可能有些聪明的教会会友说:“没问题,

39. We don’t have to lose our jobs.
我们不必非得丢掉工作不可。

40. We can participate in those things and still be believers in Jesus Christ.
我们可以做那些事,但还是耶稣基督的信徒。

41. We can have the best of both worlds.”
我们可以在两个世界里都得到最大的好处。”

42. One woman, in particular, was pushing this teaching on the believers.
特别是有一个女人,她在基督徒中推行这种教导。

43. Listening friends, I don’t want you to miss this.
亲爱的朋友,请不要漏掉这一点。

44. The biggest threat to the believers in Thyatira did not come from the pagans.
对于推雅推喇的信徒们来说,最大的威胁不是来自异教徒。

45. It did not come from a hostile Jewish community.
也不是来自敌对的犹太人团体,

46. It came from some of the leaders inside their own group;
而是来自于他们自己内部的一些领袖;

47. and that is why we will see four things in this letter.
因此,我们将会从这封书信中看到四个重点。

48. The first is Jesus’ praise for the believers in verse 19.
第一点,在第19节,是耶稣对信徒们的称赞。

49. The second is Jesus’ concern for the believers in verses 20 to 23.
第二点,在第20到23节,是耶稣对信徒们的担心。

50. Thirdly, Jesus commands the believers in verse 24 to 25;
第三点,在第24到25节,是耶稣对信徒们的命令。

51. and, fourthly, Jesus’ advice for the believers in verse 26 to 29.
第四点,在第26到29节,是耶稣给信徒们的建议。

52. Now, let’s look at Jesus’ praise for the believers in verse 19.
现在,我们来看第19节,是耶稣对信徒们的称赞。

53. Jesus saw the love, the faith, the service, and the endurance of the believers in Thyatira.
耶稣在推雅推喇的信徒们身上看到了爱心,信心,勤劳和忍耐。

54. In the Gospels, Jesus said that He never forgets even a cold drink of water given in His name.
耶稣在福音书中说,因祂的名而送出的,哪怕是一杯凉水,祂也不会忘记。

55. I don’t want you to miss this.
请不要漏掉这一点。

56. This is the first church to be commended for their love.
这是第一个因为爱心而被主称赞的教会。

57. Like other churches, Thyatira had loyalty to Jesus.
像其它教会一样,推雅推喇教会对耶稣忠诚。

58. They were faithful to Jesus.
他们忠心于耶稣。

59. They were bold to proclaim Jesus as their Savior;
他们勇敢地宣称耶稣是他们的救主。

60. and all these qualities earned them Jesus’ commendation.
这些品质赢得了耶稣的赞扬。

61. These people demonstrated their love and faithfulness by their actions.
这些人用行动展现了他们的爱心和忠心。

62. They probably worked hard to help widows and orphans.
他们或许非常尽心地帮助孤儿寡母。

63. They probably were practical in their faith;
他们可能落实了他们的信心;

64. but Jesus moves on very quickly, after only one verse, to express concern.
但是,耶稣很快地一语带过,仅仅一节经文之后,就转到表达祂的担心。

65. This is the second thing that we will look at.
这也是我们要来看的第二点。

66. What was Jesus’ concern?
耶稣担心什么呢?

67. He said, “I have this against you.”
祂说:“有一件事我要责备你”。

68. What is ‘this?’
是哪件事呢?

69. “You are so lacking in discernment that you accept falsehoods as truth.
“你们缺乏分辨力,以至于把谬误当成真理。

70. You are so lacking in discernment that you cannot distinguish between true teachers of the Word of God and false ones.
你们缺乏分辨力,以至于不能识别哪个是神话语的真理教导者,哪个是假师傅。

71. You are so lacking in discernment that you have allowed deceptive people to become leaders in the church...”
你们缺乏分辨力,以至于让那些骗子当上了教会的领袖……”

72. and so the indictment comes in verse 20.
然后,在第20节中,提出了控告。

73. “You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess,
“你容让那自称是先知的妇人耶洗别,

74. and she teaches and leads my children astray
让她教导我的仆人,

75. so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.”
引诱他们行奸淫,吃祭偶像之物。”

76. Who was this woman who claimed to be a prophetess?
这个自称是先知的妇人是谁呢?

77. First, we don’t know if that is her real name or if it is a description of her character.
首先,我们不知道那是她的真名,还是对她品行的描述。

78. Jezebel was known in the Old Testament as the wife of King Ahab.
在旧约中,耶洗别是亚哈王的妻子。

79. The name “Jezebel” is associated with idolatry, treachery and murder.
“耶洗别”这个名字让人联想到的是拜偶像,背叛和谋杀。

80. The Jezebel in Thyatira, like the Old Testament Jezebel, was leading believers astray.
推雅推喇的耶洗别,就像旧约中的耶洗别一样,把信徒们带入了歧途。

81. The Old Testament Jezebel dignified the worship of the false god, Baal, among God’s people;
旧约里的耶洗别,在上帝的百姓中推崇对邪神巴力的敬拜。

82. and this New Testament prophetess is doing a similar thing.
而这个新约里的女先知,也在做着同样的事情。

83. At that time, in Asia Minor, one popular false teaching was the Greek philosophy of dualism.
在当时的小亚细亚,一个普遍的错误教导就是希腊的二元论哲学。

84. You ask, “What is that?”
你会问:“那是讲什么的?”

85. Dualism was a false teaching that was taught by many false teachers within the church.
二元论是许多假师傅在教会中教导的一种谬误。

86. This is how it goes-
它是这样讲的,

87. God is only interested in people’s spirit;
神只关心人们的灵魂;

88. and, therefore, how people treat their bodies is not important.
因此,人们如何对待自己的身体并不重要。

89. Jezebel was saying something very similar.
耶洗别所讲的与此非常相似。

90. She said, “Don’t deny Jesus.
她说:“不要否认耶稣,

91. Don’t renounce your faith.”
不要放弃你的信仰。”

92. Jezebel said that God doesn’t care if you commit sexual immorality or not;
耶洗别说,神并不关心你是否行奸淫;

93. and that’s what this woman was teaching;
这就是那个女人所教导的;

94. and most people were falling into this falsehood.
大多数人都陷入了这个谬误之中。

95. My listening friend, let me ask you this:
亲爱的朋友,我来问你:

96. do you think that’s the right attitude?
你认为那是正确的态度吗?

97. Then, listen to what Jesus said in Matthew 18.
下面,我们来听听耶稣在马太福音18章所讲的。

98. “But if anyone causes one of these little ones, who believe in Me, to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
“凡使这信我的一个小子跌倒的,倒不如把大磨石拴在这人的颈项上,沉在深海里。”

99. My friend, your lack of discernment will cause you and others to be led astray.
亲爱的朋友,缺乏分辨力会导致你和他人误入歧途。

SECTION B
乙部

1. Now, we come to part three, which is Jesus’ command.
现在,我们来到第三部分,是耶稣的命令。

2. In verse 23, Jesus calls Himself the “Searcher of hearts and minds.”
在第23节里,耶稣称自己为“那察看人肺腑心肠的。”

3. His eyes are like flames of fire, which means that they penetrate deep into our souls.
祂的眼睛像火焰一样,可以刺入到我们的灵魂深处。

4. Jesus’ eyes that protect the faithful ones are the same eyes that will destroy the false teachers.
耶稣的眼目保护着忠心的信徒,同样也会将那些假师傅毁灭。

5. Jesus is gracious,
耶稣是满有恩典的,

6. even to this false prophetess and to those who are blindly following her.
即使是对这个假先知以及她的盲目追随者。

7. You say, "How?"
你会说:“祂如何对他们施恩典呢?”

8. Jesus gives them one more opportunity to repent.
耶稣要再给他们一次机会,让他们悔改。

9. He gives them one more chance to turn from their rationalizations and immorality.
耶稣要再给他们一次机会,从淫荡和诡辩之中回转。

10. He gives them one more chance to turn away from sin;
耶稣要再给他们一次机会,脱离罪恶;

11. but, if they don’t repent, they will face pain and suffering.
但是,如果他们不肯悔改,将会面临痛苦和折磨。

12. As to those who are godly,
而对那些敬虔人,

13. to those who refuse to defile themselves with this false teaching,
对于那些拒绝与这种谬误同流合污的人,

14. Jesus says, “My burden is light and My yoke is easy.
耶稣说:“我的轭是容易的,我的担子是轻省的。

15. Stand firm, and don’t compromise until I come…”
站稳了,不要妥协,只等到我来……”

16. and so we see Jesus’ praise, Jesus’ concern, and Jesus’ command.
我们已经看过了耶稣的称赞,耶稣的担心和耶稣的命令。

17. Fourthly, we see Jesus’ advice.
第四点,我们来看耶稣的建议。

18. In verse 26, Jesus says,
在第26节,耶稣说:

19. “To the one who overcomes and does My will to the end, I will give him authority over nations.”
“那得胜又遵守我命令到底的,我要赐给他权柄制伏列国。”

20. This is incredible.
这真令人难以置信。

21. Most Christians tend to forget that we will reign and rule the whole universe with Christ.
大多数基督徒常常忘了,我们将和基督一同掌管整个宇宙。

22. We get so busy with the trash of this world, thinking that it is gold, that we forget the real gold that is awaiting us.
我们为了属世的垃圾而忙碌,以为那是金子,却忘了真正的金子还在等着我们呢。

23. We get stuck in the mud of the world, thinking it is wealth, and forget the real, awesome power that we will experience.
我们被属世的泥沼所缠累,以为那是富足,却忘了我们将要经历的,那真实的、令人敬畏的能力。

24. Jesus is saying that His faithful believers will exercise authority over nations.
耶稣告诉我们,祂忠心的信徒将会施行制伏列国的权柄。

25. Some of you may be saying, “Why will only the faithful believers rule and reign?”
也许你们会说:“为什么只有忠心的信徒才能掌管和统治呢?”

26. Oh, because they will reign in order to enforce the righteousness and holiness of Christ.
因为他们是为了执行基督的公义和圣洁而掌管。

27. We will have Christ’s own delegated authority;
我们将得到基督亲自赐予的权柄;

28. and that is why Jesus could not entrust unfaithful and undisciplined believers to rule and reign over the universe,
因此,耶稣不会委托那些不忠心和散漫的信徒,来掌管整个宇宙,

29. because they would make a mess of things.
因为他们会把事情弄得一团糟。

30. Jesus gave several parables to remind us again and again that only the faithful believers will exercise authority in the life to come;
耶稣用了几个比喻,一再提醒我们,只有忠心的信徒才能在将来的生命里掌权;

31. and, here, Jesus said that He will give His faithful ones the morning star.
这里,耶稣说祂要把晨星赐给忠心的信徒。

32. The “morning star” is Christ Himself.
这“晨星”就是耶稣自己。

33. In other words, we will share in His glory.
换句话说,我们可以分享祂的荣耀。

34. Those who turn their backs on the darkness of sin will share in His glory.
那些不向罪恶的黑暗势力妥协的人们,将会分享祂的荣耀。

35. Those who will turn their backs on the darkness of sin will see the light of Christ’s glory.
那些不向罪恶的黑暗势力妥协的人们,将会看到基督的荣耀之光。

36. Discernment will keep you from falling into false teaching;
分辨力能够让你避免陷入谬误的教导里面;

37. and faithfulness to Jesus’ teaching will give you a share in His glory.
忠心于耶稣的教导,会让你分享祂的荣耀。

38. Some of you may be asking, “How do I develop discernment?”
也许你们会问:“怎样才能提高分辨力呢?”

39. To develop biblical discernment, you must read God’s Word every day;
要提高合乎圣经的分辨力,你一定要每天读神的话语;
