1. Hello there our listening friends.

3. Today we’re going to begin to look at Psalm 139.
今天我们要开始查考诗篇139篇,

4. I am calling it the awesomeness of God.
我称之为神伟大的特性。

5. I want to begin by asking you a question.
节目开始之前,我要问你一个问题,

6. How many of us have thought about the awesomeness of God today?
今天我们有谁想到过,神何等的可畏?

7. Or yesterday?
或在昨天?

8. Or last week?
还是上周呢?

9. Or in the span of the whole past year?
或者在过去的一整年里。

10. In our scientific world everything has an explanation.
在我们的科学世界中,每一件事都有个解释,

11. And because of that we have lost the sense of wonder about God.
正因如此,我们失去了对神的赞叹。

12. Children by nature have that sense of wonder.
但是孩子们却天生对世界充满了好奇,

13. Then in their teen years they go through the fantasy stage.
在少年时代,他们充满了幻想,

14. This is really an artificial stage of wonder.
其实这是很粗浅的好奇心。

15. Then eventually they get to the adulthood where it’s practical scientific explanations.
成年以后,他们接受实际的科学解释,

16. And there goes the sense of amazement about God.
也就开始对神的伟大产生疑惑。

17. It is not surprising therefore that Jesus says again and again,
难怪,耶稣一次又一次的说,

18. Unless you become like a little child.
如果不转回小孩子的样式,断不能进天国。

19. This means that you spiritually enter into the child’s world with all of its wonder,
这意味着我们属灵上要像孩子一样充满敬畏好奇,

20. You become like a little child, believing and trusting.
你变得像小孩子一样,相信神,依靠神,

21. Until you do that you are risking at worst unbelief and at best cold carnality.

22. Because at the heart of this loss of wonder at God.
因为心中失去对神的好奇和敬畏,

23. You will discover the center of human pride.
你会发现人类骄傲的中心,

24. In reality, honest scientists admit how much is yet to be learned.
实际上, 诚实的科学家就会承认还有太多东西要学。

25. Some Christians read the Bible once or twice and they think they know what’s in it.
有些基督徒读过圣经一两遍, 就以为自己都懂了,

26. They think they understand the relationship between the Old and the New Testament.

27. And so they go on their merry Christian life without reading the Scripture daily.
于是就过着逍遥自在的基督徒生活,从此不再每天读经了。

28. yet many of the great men and women of God would read the Scripture 100 times.
然而,许多伟大的信徒读过100次圣经,

29. and on the 101 time they discover some new truth.
在读101次时,他们还能发现新的亮光,

30. and they get excited about it.
他们也为之兴奋不已,

31. It is as if they read it for the first time in their life.

32. Wonder at the awesomeness of God leads us into daily depth in our walk with God.
思想神的伟大特性可以帮助我们每天与神同行,

33. Wonder at the awesomeness of God helps us determine true value in life.
思想神的伟大特性可以帮助我们确定生命真正的价值。

34. And Psalm 139 tells us what happens to believers when they exercise their sense of wonder.
诗篇139让我们知道,当信徒敏感于神的大能时会如何;

35. This Psalm tells us what happens when we begin to reflect on the awesomeness of God.
这首诗告诉我们,常常默想神的伟大特性有什么好处;

36. This Psalm tells us how our wonder at the awesomeness of God would impact our lives.
这首诗告诉我们,赞叹神的伟大,对我们的生活产生多大的震撼!

37. In this great hymn David shows us four awesome things about God.
在这伟大的诗篇中, 戴维告诉我们神的四大特性,

38. And he also tells us how to apply them in our lives.
他也告诉我们怎样应用到我们的生活中。

39. So before we get into these four things, let’s read the Psalm together.
在看这四个特点之前, 让我们先来读诗篇139篇。

40. This is a wonderful Psalm!
这真是一首伟大的诗篇!

41. And as I told you there are four awesome things about God.
我刚刚提到神的四大特性,

42. Let’s look at them right now.
现在我们一个一个来看。

43. First,

44. In verses 1 to 6,
139篇 1-6 节,

45. He tells us about the awesomeness of God’s knowledge.
戴维告诉我们,神是无所不知的。

46. Secondly,

47. In verses 7 to 12,

48. He tells us about the awesomeness of God’s presence.

49. Thirdly,

50. In verses 13 to 18,

51. He tells us about the awesomeness of God’s power.

54. He shows us the awesomeness of God’s judgment.

55. First let us examine the awesomeness of God’s knowledge.
我们首先来看看神的无所不知,

56. The word omniscient describes God’s perfect knowledge.
「无所不知」这个词形容神完全的知识和智能。

57. He knows everything that’s going on everywhere in the world at once.
祂随时随地知道世上发生的任何一件事,

58. If he didn’t he wouldn’t be God.
如果不是这样,祂就不是神,

59. No wonder David was overwhelmed by the awesomeness of God’s knowledge.
难怪戴维被神全备的知识所震撼。

60. David applies this knowledge of God to himself personally.
戴维把神的无所不知和自己结合起来,

61. He puts the search lights of God on his life.
他把自己的生命放在神透视的光中。

62. He says God you know me inside out.
他说,神阿,你知道我的意念。

63. And that is why David is confident.
这就是为什么戴维这么有信心。

64. He said search me.
他说,神阿,鉴察我。

65. Because he knows that God knows everything.
因为他知道神看透万事,

66. There is no use hiding.
躲避是没有用的。

67. What does God know about us?
神知道我们什么呢?

68. In verse 2 he knows what we do,
第2节说,祂知道我们所行的;

69. He knows what we think even before we think it.
我们的意念还没有涌现之前,祂已经知道了。

70. In verse 3 he knows where we go and whom we see,
第三节说,祂知道我们去了哪里,见过谁,

71. And he either approves or disapproves of it.
无论是祂许可或不许可的。

72. In verse 4,
第四节,

73. He knows what we say even before we say it.
祂知道我们还未说出口的话,

74. That is the awesomeness of God’s knowledge.
这就是神的无所不知。

75. He even knows the motives of the words we speak.
祂甚至知道我们说话的动机,

76. Sometimes a person can say something that becomes misleading.
有时人说话会带来误会,

77. Because he may have an imperfect knowledge or lack of understanding.
是因为我们的知识和理解都不完全,

78. But then there’s another person who schemes to say things to deceive somebody.
但有的人说话根本就是刻意要欺骗对方。

79. God knows the difference.
神知道这两者的区别,

80. And he judges us on the basis of that knowledge.
祂的知识足以判断我们的是非。

81. And that is why the Psalmist often prays the prayer in Psalm 19:14.
这就是为什么诗人常用诗篇19篇14节来祷告,

82. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you oh, God my strength and my redeemer.
愿我口中的言语,心里的意念,在你面前蒙悦纳。

83. Verse 5 is a very significant verse.
第五节非常重要,

84. Here David teaches us that God knows our needs.
戴维告诉我们,神知道我们的需要。

85. That is why he keeps his guiding and his restraining hand on us.
这就是为什么祂要前后环绕我们,按手在我们身上。

86. Now let me be upfront with you.
让我直接了当告诉你吧,

87. In this particular verse, David is actually complaining.
在这节诗句中,戴维其实是在抱怨。

88. What is he complaining about?
他在抱怨什么呢?

89. He said that God you are hemming me in.
他是在说,神阿,你把我拘禁起来。

90. I am so excited at the awesomeness of your knowledge but you have got a big fence around me.
我虽然赞叹你的知识能力,但是你却把我关在篱笆里,

91. And that fence is your guidance and protection watching over me.
这篱笆就是你的引导和保护。

92. The word here in Hebrew means being hemmed in.
“环绕”在希伯来文中是“捆锁”的意思。

93. It is the same word that is used when a city comes under siege.
当一座城市被包围时,就会用同一个词。

94. God put a fence around David and his wandering why.
神为戴维设立了围墙,他却不明白为什么,

95. But David couches his complaint very well in a form of praise.
然而戴维巧妙地用赞美的形式来表达自己的抱怨,

96. But really deep down he was complaining.
实际上他是在抱怨。

97. Probably some of you who are listening to us right now are feeling the same way.
也许收音机前的你也甚有同感,

98. Some of you are probably saying, God why have you allowed this in my life?
你也许会说,神阿,为何你允许这样的事发生在我的生命中?

99. Why is he closing doors that I want him to open?
为什么我要你开门的时候,你却关上了门。

SECTION B
乙部

1. I am tired of being hemmed in.
我厌倦了被拘束的日子。

2. O but my listening friend, listen very carefully.
然而,我亲爱的好朋友,请仔细听我说,

3. The very fence that is hemming you in.
这个拘束你的围墙,

4. Is the very fence that is keeping the devil out?
正是那抵挡魔鬼的围墙。

5. God loves you and cares for you so much.
神爱你,祂看顾你,

6. He knows the minutest details in every part of your life.
祂知道你生命中的每个微小细节,

7. And he has got a fence around you that you don’t like right now.
目前祂或许用一个你不喜欢的围墙圈住你,

8. And you are trying to kick that fence down.
你想要推倒围墙,

9. But that very fence is keeping the devil out.
然而正是这个围墙抵挡魔鬼来攻击你。

10. The person who is in a bad marriage wants to get out of that marriage.
人或许因为身处一个不幸的婚姻之中,而想要跳岀这段婚姻,

11. And God is saying that fence that you don’t like is the very fence that is protecting you from a worse situation.
神却说,这个你很想逃离的围墙却会保护你,以免你进入一个更糟的境遇中。

12. A single person who has prayed for many years God give me a spouse.
一个单身信徒向神祷告很久,求神赐他一位配偶,

13. God is saying to you the very fence that you are in which you don’t like very much.
神却说,这个你很想逃离的围墙,

14. Is the very fence that is protecting you from a far worse situation?
正在保护你,以免你进入另一个更糟的境遇中。

15. The job or the boss from which you want to flee.
你想要逃离你的工作或是老板,

16. God is saying that very fence is protecting you from the devil.
神却说,这围墙是为了保护你不受魔鬼攻击。

17. When you are not able to get out.
当你不能出去的时候,

18. The devil is not able to get in.
魔鬼也无法进来。

19. And David reflects on the awesomeness of God’s perfect knowledge.
戴维思想到神完备的知识时,

20. And he finds himself absolutely overwhelmed.
他发觉自己彻底被震撼了。

21. In fact, the apostle Paul did the same thing.
实际上使徒保罗也有同样的经历,

22. In Romans 11:33 he said,
在罗马书11章33节中他说:

23. All the riches of the wisdom and the knowledge of God how unsearchable are his judgment and his ways past finding out.
深哉!神丰富的智能和知识,祂的判断何其难测,祂的踪迹何其难寻。

24. My listening friend as I conclude I want to ask you a personal question.
亲爱的朋友,在结束之前我要问你一个私人问题,

25. Do you feel so hemmed in and discouraged today?
今天你是否感到被捆锁,很失意?

26. Are you counting the fence posts?
你是否在望眼欲穿等着被释放?

27. Does your eye level focuses only on just the fence?
你是否单单看见围墙?

28. What God wants you to do is lift up your eyes.
神要你向上仰望,

29. And reflect on the awesome knowledge of God.
思想神伟大的智能和知识。

30. Next time I want to talk to you about the awesomeness of God’s presence.
