1. Hello, listening friends. I am glad you joined us again.

2. Last time, we ran out of time; so I want to tell you the rest of this story today.

3. I hope you are prepared with your Bibles, and ready to listen.

4. “Blessed are you, when men revile you and speak evil against you falsely for My sake.”
“人若因我辱骂你们,逼迫你们,捏造各样坏话毁谤你们,你们就有福了。”

5. The word, “revile” means “seriously insulting”,
“辱骂”这个词意思是“严重地侮辱”,

6. or, “throw abusive words,” or, “viciously mock” you.
或者是“用恶毒的词语伤害你”或是“带着敌意地嘲笑”。

7. Sometimes, our love for Christ, and our commitment to the truth of His Word, causes people to call us names.
有时,因着我们对基督的爱,对神话语的委身,会导致人们辱骂我们。

8. Sometimes, our love for the Lord Jesus causes some people to despise us.
有时,因着我们对主耶稣的爱,会导致人们轻看我们。

9. Sometimes, our love for Jesus causes some people to hate us.
有时,因着我们对主耶稣的爱,会导致人们仇视我们。

10. Sometimes, because of our faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ, people falsely accuse us of not being compassionate.
有时,因为我们对主耶稣基督的忠诚,别人们会诋毁,指责我们没有同情心。

11. Sometimes, because of our faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ, some people may smile to our faces; but, then, they attack us behind our backs.
有时,因为我们对主耶稣基督的忠诚,一些人表面对我们笑脸相迎,而背后却攻击我们。

12. Listen to what Jesus’ critics said of Him in Matthew 11:19.
请听马太福音11章19节,那些人怎样批评耶稣。

13. They said that He was a glutton and a drunkard,
人说祂是贪食好酒的人。

14. a friend of tax collectors and sinners.
是税吏和罪人的朋友。

15. Listen carefully.
请仔细听,

16. If they said this about the sinless, holy Son of God,
如果他们这样侮蔑圣洁的神子,

17. who are we to expect less?
我们算什么,还期望得到好些的待遇吗?

18. To be sure, slander behind our backs is harder to take,
当然,背后的诽谤是很难忍受的,

19. because it is harder to defend.

20. Slander behind our backs has an opportunity to spread
背后的诽谤有可能会扩散,

21. and be believed before we have a chance to correct it.

22. While slander is regrettable,

23. don’t spend any time worrying about it.

24. We should count ourselves blessed, when we become subject to slander falsely.

25. Jesus is saying that, when you are being slandered, count on Him.

26. When you are being falsely accused, look up to Him.
当你被诬告的时候,要仰望主。

27. When you are being maligned falsely, don’t retaliate. Leave it with Him.
当你被人陷害时,不要报复,而是交托给主。

28. When you are being falsely accused, don’t let it consume your energy. Spend time praying for your accusers.
当你被诬告的时候,不要为它消耗你的精力,而是花时间为控告你的人祷告。

29. The Apostle Peter said, in 1 Peter 3:14,
使徒彼得在彼得前书3章14节那里,

30. he was repeating the Master’s teaching to his readers by telling them not to try to defend themselves.
他重复主耶稣的教导说,不要试图为自己辩护。

31. We should consider ourselves privileged when we suffer for righteousness.
当我们为义受苦的时候,应该认为这是一种特权。

32. When we suffer because we are different,
当我们因为不同于别人而受苦的时候,

33. when we suffer because we are distinguished from the world,
当我们因为不跟这个世界同流合污而受苦时,

34. Peter tells us that, when we are being hated and maligned by the world,

35. remember that the real animosity is not against us, but against the Lord Jesus.

36. Satan’s great enemy is Christ,
撒但以基督为最大的仇敌,

37. and he opposes Him everywhere, including in the life of His followers.
他无处不在的攻击主,包括那些跟随主的人。

38. When we are attacked for the sake of Christ,
当我们为主耶稣的缘故被攻击时,

39. the real target is righteousness, which we exemplify.
受攻击的真正的目标是公义,也就是我们生活的准则。

40. Far from fretting and being angered, Jesus tells us that what should happen is that we should rejoice and be glad.
耶稣告诉我们,应该欢喜快乐,而不是愁烦愤怒。

41. There’s someone who put it this way:
有人这样说,

42. he said, “We do not retaliate, like the unbelievers.
“我们不会像不信主的人那样报复,

43. We don’t sulk, like a child.
我们不像孩子那样发脾气。

44. We do not lick our wounds in self pity, like a dog.
我们也不像一只狗那样,自怜地舔自己的伤口。

45. We do not just grin and bear it, like a stoic;
我们不会像一个刻意忍耐的人,强颜欢笑。

46. nor do we pretend that we enjoy it, like the masochists;
也不会像一个受虐狂一般假装开心。

47. but we really leap for joy.
但我们却是真正地欢欣雀跃。

48. Why?
为什么?

49. because we shall inherit all things in Heaven.
因为我们将承受天国。

50. Some people think that being different is being sad or somber.
有些人认为,要与众不同,就要显得庄严肃穆。

51. No, far from it!
不,绝对不是!

52. Jesus is saying that we ought to be jumping up and down for joy
耶稣说,我们应该欢喜雀跃。

53. We don’t go around with our faces sad.
而不是愁眉苦脸。

54. In fact, the Word said, “Be exceedingly glad…”
实际上,神的话是说“要加倍喜乐……”

55. and this is not just a recommendation. This is an order.
这不只是一个建议,这是一个命令。

56. The world can take away a lot of things from us, Christians.
基督徒们,世界可以从我们身上夺走很多东西,

57. Some may even falsely take us to court
甚至在法庭上诬告我们。

58. and we may lose everything that we have.
我们可能会失去所有的一切。

59. Some may take you to court and cheat the system and you may lose whatever precious possessions you may have;
有些人在法庭上,徇私蒙蔽法律,可能使你失去所有财产。

60. but there is one thing that the world can never take away from you.
但有一样东西,这个世界是绝对无法从你身上拿走的。

61. It is your joy,
就是你的喜乐,

62. and Jesus gives us two reasons for rejoicing and being glad.
耶稣给我们两个值得喜乐的理由,

63. First,
第一,

64. He said, because of your reward in Heaven.
祂说,因为你会得到天上的赏赐。

65. “Our present life is no more than a vapor,” said James, “that it appears for a little while and, then, disappears...”
雅各说,“你们原来是一片云雾,出现少时就不见了……”

66. but Heaven is forever.
但天堂是永恒的。

67. If we only can understand this,
只要我们能够理解这一点,

68. then, we could comprehend what Jesus meant, when He said to store up your savings accounts in Heaven.
我们就会明白耶稣所说,积财宝在天上的意思,

69. The reason for Him telling us to store it up in Heaven is because it will be there for us forever -
祂告诉我们积财宝在天上的原因是,我们的这些财宝会永远在那里。

70. not to accumulate it here on the earth, so that you can leave it behind for your descendants to squander it.
不要积累在地上,最后,都让你的子孙花光了。

71. God’s dividends are not ordinary dividends. They are not only eternal dividends, but Jesus said they are great.
神给的利息跟一般的利息不同,它不仅能存到永远,更如耶稣所说,是很大的利息。

72. Some of you probably are saying,
有些人可能会说,

73. “I don’t serve the Lord for a reward.”
“我不是为了奖赏来服事主的。”

74. Of course, we do!
但其实,我们当然是。

75. The Bible said that we do.
圣经说我们是这样的。

76. Listen to Hebrews 12:2
请听希伯来书12章2节,

77. It speaks of Christ,
这里说的是主基督,

78. and he said, because of the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame.
祂因那摆在前面的喜乐,就轻看羞辱,忍受了十字架的苦难。

79. It is neither selfish nor unspiritual to look forward to the rewards in Heaven.
向往天上的奖赏,既不是自私,也不是不属灵。

80. The Apostle Paul looked forward to his crown in Heaven,
使徒保罗,就企盼天国的冠冕。

81. because he knew that he fought the good fight;
因为他知道,他打了美好的仗;

82. then, there is a second reason for rejoicing.
另外,还有一个让我们喜乐的原因,

83. When we suffer for righteousness, we are in good company.
当我们为义受苦的时候,我们有很多同伴。

84. When you suffer for Jesus’ sake, you are experiencing what all the great men and women of God experience.
当你为义受苦的时候,你就和所有伟大的信徒有同样的经历。

85. The little that we suffer for Jesus’ sake should remind us of what the early believers have suffered for their faith.
为耶稣受一点苦,将会提醒我们,初代的信徒为了信仰所受的苦难。

86. How many of them were put in boiling oil?
有多少人被扔进油锅?

87. How many of them were painted with tar and, then, used as human torches?
多少人被涂上焦油,之后被当作火把点燃。

88. How many of them were covered with sheepskin and thrown in to wild animals?
有多少人,被披上羊皮,扔进野兽群中?

89. How many of them were put through all of that for the sake of Christ?
有多少人为了主的缘故,经历这些苦难?

90. They could have escaped all of that.
他们本来可以避免这些苦难的,

91. All they needed to do was just compromise a little.
他们只需要稍稍妥协。

92. All they needed to say was, “Caesar is Lord,” and everything would be fine.
他们只要说一句“凯撒是神,”一切就没事了。

93. but earthly comfort was not their primary motive for living.
但安居在世上,不是他们生命中最要紧的目的。

94. but Jesus was.
耶稣才是他们生命的动力。

95. In many ways, the Beatitudes paint a comprehensive portrait of a true Christian.
主的宣言从各方面,为我们画出一个真正基督徒的形象。

96. It does not paint a picture of a denomination that you belong to,
它并不是描绘一幅你所属的宗派的画面,

97. but a picture of a true believer in Jesus Christ.
而是描绘出一个真正属于耶稣基督的信徒。

98. Let me see if I can paint it for you.
就让我为你描述出来吧。

99. First, you must declare spiritual poverty and bankruptcy;
首先,你必须宣告你属灵的贫穷和破产;

100. then, you mourn over your sin.
然后,为你的罪痛悔哀伤。

101. Thirdly, you become meek by keeping your power under control.
第三,当你能自如地控制自己的力量时,就会变得温柔。

102. Fourthly,
第四,

103. far from being smug and self-satisfied, you hunger and you thirst for God’s righteousness.
不要自以为义,不靠自己满足自己,而要饥渴慕义。

104. Fifth,
第五,

105. far from running away from the world, you are in the midst of it,
不要逃避这个世界,而是进入其中,

106. showing mercy upon those who are battered by sin.
去怜悯那些被罪恶摧残的人,

107. Sixthly,
第六,

108. you are transparent and living an integrated life.
成为一个清心的人,过表里一致的生活。

109. Seventh,
第七,

110. you seek to make peace through God’s truth;
借着神的真理,成为使人和睦的人。

111. and, finally, you will not only have a thankless job -
最后,你的工作不仅得不到别人的感谢,

112. indeed, you may be oppressed, slandered and insulted and persecuted
实际上,你可能被攻击,诽谤,侮辱或者逼迫,

113. on account of the righteousness which you represent.
因为你表现了神的公义。

114. Such is the blessed man.
这就是一个蒙神赐福的人。

115. The Lord has set before us a blessing and a curse.
主已经将祝福和诅咒放在我们面前。

116. The choice is yours.
选择在你。

117. I want to urge you to choose the blessing,
我劝你选择祝福,

118. and I pray for you that God will bless you richly.
我也为你祷告,求神大大赐福于你。
