1. Hello, listening friends.

2. It is a delight and pleasure for us to join you again today.

3. We have begun talking about the fruit of goodness;
我们正在讨论良善的果子;

4. and I mentioned that, of all the fruit of the Spirit, goodness and generosity is the one fruit which seemed to be more exclusively, more uniquely, an attribute of God.
我说过,在所有圣灵的果子里,良善和慷慨可能是神更特别和无可比拟的一个属性。

5. Goodness is Who God is.
神就是良善。

6. Think with me for a minute.
请和我一起来想想。

7. If there is an innocent man crucified, we would say, “Wow, isn’t that incredible...”

8. but, when God dies on a cross for you and for me, that is incomprehensible generosity.
当神为你我死在十字架上,那的确是一种很难理解的良善。

9. God, Who left the glories of Heaven,

10. God, Who was there before the creation of the world,
祂就是在创世以前就存在的神,

11. and, yet, out of generosity, He left it all.

12. He took off His glory like a robe.

13. He came down as an embryo in a virgin’s womb,

14. lived as a poor man,

15. healed the sick without charge,

16. raised the dead,

17. filled the hungry,

18. and, then, He hung on a cross like a criminal in order to satisfy the justice of God.

19. Why?

20. So that whosoever comes to Him, believing, repenting and turning to Him, will be eternally saved from Hell to Heaven.

21. That is the generosity of God that flows out of the goodness of the heart of God.

22. Please listen carefully.

23. We become like those with whom we spend time with;
近朱者赤;

24. and, when you spend time with God, you will reflect the character of God.
当你多亲近神,你就会表现出神的性情。

25. When you spend time with God, you will be filled with God’s Holy Spirit on a daily basis.
当你多亲近神,你就会每天被圣灵充满。

26. When you spend time with God, you will be filled with goodness and generosity.
当你多亲近神,你也就会充满良善和慷慨。

27. Do you spend time with God?
你有没有花时间亲近神呢?

28. Do you spend as much time with God as you spend watching television?
你亲近神的时间,是否和看电视的时间同样多吗?

29. If you don’t, why don’t you make a commitment, today, to spend more time with God every day?
如果没有,何不今天就下定决心,每天多花些时间来亲近神呢?

30. “Agathos” is generosity that is born of goodness of character produced by the Holy Spirit within us.
“Agathos”就是圣灵在我们里面产生的良善果子,所发出的慷慨。

31. That is Who God is.
我们的神就是良善的神。

32. We will continue in this broadcast to talk about goodness and generosity.
在今天的节目里,我们要继续讨论良善和慷慨。

33. What I am going to tell you is very important.
我所要告诉你的,非常重要。

34. There are so many Christians who think that the Christian life is a drag.
很多基督徒认为,基督徒的生活是一种负累,

35. There are some in the churches who think that the Christian life is hard work.
有些教会的会友,认为基督徒的生活是艰苦的。

36. To some Christians, they think the Christian life is a drudgery.
对一些信徒来说,他们认为基督徒的生活是单调乏味的。

37. Let me declare, as loud and as clear as I can,
让我大声而清晰地宣告,

38. that this is not the Spirit-filled life.
那不是圣灵充满的生命。

39. This is not the life of the Spirit of God.
那不是属于圣灵的生命。

40. The Spirit-filled life is this:
圣灵充满的生命应该是这样的:

41. the closer you get to the flame of the Spirit, the more joyful you’ll become.
当你跟圣灵的火光越接近,你就会越喜乐。

42. The Spirit-filled life is the closer you get to the Spirit’s fire, the purer you’ll become.
一个被圣灵充满的生命,越靠近圣灵的火焰,就越纯洁。

43. The Spirit-filled life is the closer you get to the Spirit’s light, the more glowing you'll become.
被圣灵充满的生命,越靠近圣灵的光,就越能发出光彩。

44. The nearer you get to the Fountain, the more overflowing you become.
越靠近生命之泉,你也越能流出生命的活水来。

45. The closer you walk with Jesus, the more like Him you will become.
越亲近耶稣,你就会越像祂。

46. People will become like their leaders;
人们都会效法自己的领袖;

47. and, when you live the Spirit-filled life, you will become like your Leader.
当你过一个圣灵充满的生活,你就会更像你的主。

48. Do you want to bear the fruit of goodness and generosity?
你想结出良善和慷慨的果子吗?

49. Then, get filled of the Spirit of God on a daily basis.
那么就在每天的生活中被圣灵充满吧。

50. Every day, empty yourself of yourself and your own opinions, and say, “Holy Spirit of God, fill me. Take over today.”
每天,倒空你自己,放弃自己的成见,并说,“神的灵充满我,今天接管我吧。”

51. Get to know the character of God on a daily basis.
在每天的生活中更了解神的性情。

52. Get used to talking to Him on a daily basis.
每天习惯于和祂说话。

Get used to hearing His voice on a daily basis.
习惯于听祂的声音。

53. Martin Luther, the great German reformer, said,
马丁路德,这位伟大的德国改革家曾说过,

54. “Whoever knows that God is gracious to him walks through life along the path of roses, even in tribulation; and, for him, the land flows with milk and honey.”
任何一个熟悉神恩慈的人都会走在开满玫瑰花的道路上,即使身处苦难困境,对他来说,也是流奶与蜜之地。”

55. It is knowing that God is so gracious to you,
当你认识了神对你的恩慈,

56. and it is your understanding, comprehending, appreciating and responding to that graciousness of God,

57. that will fill your spirit with life.
你的心灵将满有活力。

58. There is a common, psychological disorder in children which is called “attention deficit disorder.”
小孩子有一种常见的心理病,就是专注力不足及混乱,称为“注意力缺乱症。”

59. Those who have this problem have difficulty concentrating and focusing on the task at hand.
得这种病的人,对于手头做的事,难以集中精神。

60. I am convinced that the vast number of Christians must have this problem,

61. except I want to call this “spiritual attention deficit disorder.”
我想称这为“灵内注意力缺乱症。”

62. They cannot concentrate on prayer.

63. They cannot concentrate on Bible study.

64. They cannot concentrate on serving consistently.

65. They cannot concentrate on ministering faithfully.

66. Why?

67. Like that child with that particular disorder, they are fighting too many biological and learned forces that easily distract them.
就像那个患了这种病的孩子,他们和太多分散他们注意力的来源抗争,包括生理或学习方面的影响。

68. To be sure, we are fighting many things.

69. We have to fight fallen-nature distraction.

70. We have to fight the devil-distraction.

71. We have to fight a world-system distraction.

72. We have to fight a television and media distraction.

73. There is only one way that you and I can overcome these distractions.

74. There is only one way you and I can develop the character of God,

75. and that way is by making time to be with Him every single day.
这个办法就是腾出时间来每天亲近神。

76. You may have to get up one hour earlier in the morning.
可能是每天早起一小时。

77. You may have to watch one hour less television.
可能是少看一个钟头的电视。

78. You may to have someone to hold you accountable for spending time with God.
你可以找一个人来提醒你,每天花时间亲近神。

79. Do whatever it takes to be filled daily so that you can develop the fruit of goodness and generosity.

80. Let me tell you a story that is a telling story, but it will demonstrate what I am trying to tell you.

81. This is a true story that happened in the 50’s in a large city.
这是一个真实的故事,发生在50年代一个大都市里。

82. A beggar stopped a well-dressed business man on the street in that large city, and asked the business man for a small amount of money.

83. Taking a good, long, hard look into the beggar’s unshaved face, the business man asked,

84. “Don’t I know you from somewhere?

85. Have I met you somewhere? Your face is familiar.”

86. The beggar said, “You should. I am your former classmate. Remember our classroom, and the teacher and so and so?”

87. The business man’s face lit up with recognition.
生意人认出他来,满脸兴奋。

88. He said, “Why, Sam, of course! I know who you are.”

89. Without any further questions, the business man pulled out his checkbook and wrote him a large check;
没再多问什么,生意人拿出支票簿,写了一张大额支票;

90. and, then, he said to him, “Here. Take this. Go to the bank and get a new start.

91. It doesn’t matter what happened in the past. What is important is the future...”

92. and, then, the beggar and the business man went their own ways.

93. Tears welled up in the beggar’s eyes as he walked toward the bank nearby.

94. Stopping at the bank, he peered through the glass and he saw a well-dressed bank teller.

95. He looked at the spotlessly clean interior and the highly polished floor;

96. and, then, he looked at his filthy rags and he thought to himself, “I can’t go in there.

97. They will not take this check from me.
他们不会给我兑现这张支票的。

98. They will think I forged it.

99. They will not give me that kind of money.”

100. As he muttered these words to himself, he turned away and left, jamming the check into his pocket.
他把支票塞进口袋,喃喃自语地转身离开了。

101. The next day, the two men happened to meet again.
第二天,这两个人恰巧又碰到了。

102. The business man looked very surprised and he said to him, he said, “Why Sam? Why didn’t you cash the check?

103. Did you gamble it?
你赌博输了吗?

104. Did you drink it?”
你喝酒喝光了吗?”

105. “No,” said the beggar.
乞丐说,“没有。”

106. As he pulled the check out of his dirty shirt pocket and told his friend why he did not cash the check,

107. the business man looked him in the eye and said,

108. “Listen, my friend.

109. What makes the check good is not your clothes or your appearances, but my signature.

110. Go and cash it.”

111. Beloved listening friends, listen to me carefully.

112. I want to tell you that there are many Christians who are spiritually in rags.
让我告诉你,许多基督徒的心灵也是衣衫褴褛的。

113. Oh, they may be dressed well clothes-wise;
哦,他们外面可能穿着高档得体的衣服;

114. but, spiritually, they are tattered and bedraggled.
但在灵里,却是衣着破烂,全身污秽。

115. They look at the fruit of the Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control from the outside and they say, “I cannot do that.”
他们从外面看圣灵的果子,仁爱,喜乐,和平,忍耐,恩慈,良善,信实,温柔和节制,然后说,“我做不到。”

116. Just like that beggar.
就像那个乞丐。

117. They read these words from Galatians, Chapter 5, verse 22, and they say, “That is impossible…”

118. like that beggar on the outside of the bank, looking in and saying, “I can’t do that…”
就像那个乞丐,站在银行外面,看着里面,说,“我不能……”

119. and the devil loves to see you in that defeated mode.

120. The devil loves to see you helpless in a state of resignation;

121. but here’s the Good News.

122. God comes in through His Word and says,

123. “It is not your spiritual rags that matter.

124. It is not your effort that will help you.

125. It is not your trying harder that will bless you.

126. It is not your public image that you are trying to project that will bless you and help you.

127. No, no.”

129. God is telling us the following:

130. “It is My strength that counts.
“我的力量才具有决定性。

131. It is identifying with Me that will give you power.
只有当你认定我时,你才有能力。

132. It is associating with Me and My Son, and spending time with Me and My Word in prayer, that will bless you with goodness and overflowing generosity.”
只有当你和我,并我的独生子连接在一起,多亲近我,读我的话,多祷告,这样,我就会赐福与你,使你有良善的果子和无止尽的慷慨。”

133. Galatians 5:16 says, “So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desire of the sinful nature.”

134. God is saying to everyone of us, today,
今天,神告诉我们每一个人,

135. “I gave My Son.
“我将独生儿子赐给你们。

136. He died for you on the cross.

137. It is Jesus’ signature that counts.
是耶稣的名字在起作用。

138. The Holy Spirit is your bank.
圣灵就是你的银行。

139. Go and cash the check.”
去,兑换那张支票。”

140. It is God the Father’s signature that counts.
有效的是天父的签名。

141. Will you do that today?
你愿意今天就这么做吗?

142. It is my deep desire and prayer that you do.
我深深渴望,并为你祷告,希望你愿意如此做。
