3. We are in the midst of a series of messages from Psalm 37.
现在我们要讲的是,诗篇37篇系列资讯的中间部分。

4. I want to begin by explaining a word to you.
我想在一开始,先讲解一个词。

5. The word “hindsight” is the ability to see things after the event has taken place.
“后知之明”这个词,是指在事件发生以后才能看清事情的本质。

6. Hindsight is the opposite of foresight.
与“后知之明”相对立的是“先见之明”。

7. Foresight is the ability to see things before they happen.
“先见之明”是指在事件发生以前就看清了事情的本质。

8. There are very few people who have foresight,
很少有人具备先见之明,

9. but just about everybody has hindsight.
而差不多每个人都有后知之明。

10. When we make a mistake in judgment
当我们在判断上出了差错,

11. and we see it later in hindsight,
往往要在事后才能发现,

12. we would say, “I shouldn’t have rushed into this.
我们会说:“我不应该那么猴急。

13. I should have been more careful...”
我应该更谨慎一些……”

14. and, most importantly,
更重要的是,

15. “I should have prayed about the matter.”
“我应该先为这件事祷告。”

16. Have you said things like this before?
你是否曾经说过这样的话?

17. I have.
我说过。

18. There are two ways by which we can deal with things in hindsight.
通常在事后,我们会采用两种处事方法。

19. First,

20. we can keep on beating ourselves and convicting ourselves,
我们不断地自责,并定自已的罪,

21. or, ridicule others out of guilt and regret.
或者,讥笑他人以解除自己的懊悔和负罪感。

22. When action is taken and failure results,
当事情过去,而且失败了,

23. some people love to tell you, “I told you so;”

24. but there’s a second way to deal with things in hindsight.

25. It’s a better way.
这是一个更好的方法。

26. It’s a godly way.
这是敬虔的方法。

27. It is a healthy way in looking at events and past failures;
这也是一个健康的方法,来看待事情和过去的失败;

28. and we find this, in Psalm 37, beginning at verse 23.
我们可以在诗篇37篇找到这个方法,从23节开始。

29. Let us read it together.

30. Here’s what David is saying.
大卫在这里所说的意思是:

31. He is saying, “I want you to receive the benefits of my hindsight.”
“我希望你们能从我的后知之明中受益。”

32. He is saying, “Let me give you the benefits of my past failures.”
“我想让你从我过去的失败中受益。”

33. He is saying, “Listen carefully to the benefits of my past worries, anxieties and fears.”
他是说:“请留意我过去忧虑、焦躁和恐惧的经历,就可从中受益。”

34. He is saying, “Let me give you the benefits of a long, blessed life.”
他是说:“我想让你受益,享受一个长久而又蒙福的生活。”

35. Let me summarize what David is saying in three ways.

36. First,

37. David is saying that, in hindsight, God never forsakes His own,

38. verses 23 to 26 of Psalm 37.

39. Secondly,

40. he is saying that, in hindsight, God always blesses His own,

41. verses 27 to 34.

42. Thirdly,

43. he is saying, in hindsight, what honors God the most is trust,

45. Let’s look at the first point.
让我们先来看第一点。

46. God never forsakes His own.
神从未离弃祂的儿女。

47. An earthly father’s child is his,
在世上,孩子永远是父亲的,

48. no matter what the child does.
不管孩子作了什么。

49. This is because he has the family blood.
这是因为他拥有家族的血脉。

50. He has the family name.
他继承着家族的姓氏。

51. He may disgrace the family name,
他可能辱没了家族的名誉,

52. but nothing will change the relationship.
但什么都不能改变这种血缘关系。

53. He still is a son or a daughter.
他仍然有儿女的身份。

54. It is the same way with all the brothers and the sisters of Jesus.
所有属耶稣的弟兄姐妹也是如此。

55. We have the heavenly blood.
我们有属天的血缘关系。

56. We have the heavenly name.
我们有属天的名分。

57. We have the heavenly gene,
我们有属天的基因,

58. and God will never throw us out, even if we disgrace Him.
即使我们辱没了神的名,祂也绝不会抛弃我们。

59. Our heavenly Father may chastise us.
我们的天父也许会责罚我们。

60. He will discipline us.
祂会管教我们。

61. He will rebuke us.
祂会斥责我们。

62. He will convict us,
祂会让我们知罪,

63. but He never rejects us.
但祂不会离弃我们。

64. David said that the steps of the godly are ordered by the Lord.
大卫说,义人的脚步,被耶和华立定。

65. Though they may fall, they will not be utterly cast out.
他们虽失脚,也不至全身仆倒。

66. Why is this true?
为什么是这样呢?

67. It has nothing to do with you, and, it has nothing to do with me.
关键不在你我身上。

68. It is because of the grace of God.
关键是神的恩典。

69. It is because the Lord upholds you with His own hand.
是耶和华的手在搀扶你。

70. How does this work in the Christian life?
这一点怎样落实在基督徒的生活中呢?

71. A new Christian is always filled with the joy of the Lord.
一个新的基督徒总是充满了神的喜乐。

72. The new Christian has such love for the Lord.
一个新的基督徒总是充满了对神的爱。

73. They never want to do anything to offend the Lord.
他们从未想过要冒犯主。

74. They never want to do anything to cause harm to the name of the Lord.
他们从未想过要辱没主名。

75. The new Christian, then, immediately gets into reading the Word of God.
新的基督徒,会马上去读神的话语。

76. Their eyes are always upon the Lord.
他们总是定睛在主的身上。

77. Before they make a decision, they seek the mind of the Lord;
在做决定以前,他们会寻求主的旨意;

78. then, they grow into spiritual adolescence.
随后,他们就进入了属灵的青春期。

79. Do you know that we grow spiritually in the same way we grow physically?
你知道吗?我们属灵的成长与身体的成长有着相同的方式。

80. When we are babes in the Lord, we are in our Father’s arm all the time.
在主里,当我们还是婴孩的时候,总是躺在天父的怀里。

81. We don’t want to depart,
我们不愿意离开,

82. and, then, we start reading the Bible;
然后,我们就开始读圣经;

83. and, after we read the Bible, we think we know everything.
读了圣经以后,我们以为自己无所不知。

84. Like teenagers—they think they know everything.
就好像青少年,他们以为自己能知天下事。

85. Spiritual teenagers are the same way.
属灵的青少年也是如此。

86. When they face major decisions in their lives, they go to the Lord;
当面临生活中重大决定的时候,他们来到主的面前;

87. but, then, unlike when they were babes in Christ,
但不再像是基督里的婴孩了,

88. now, they think they know what to do;
现在,他们自以为知道要做什么了;

89. and, often, the Lord does not respond immediately to their requests.
通常,主不会立刻回应他们的请求。

90. He may want them to learn to wait.
主想要他们学会等候。

91. He may want them to learn patience.
主想要他们学会忍耐。

92. He may want them to learn just to trust Him.
主想要他们学会单单地信靠祂。

93. Whatever His purposes are, God sometimes waits.
不管神的目的是什么,祂有时会先等一等。

94. He does not respond to you immediately,
神并没有马上就回应你,

95. and, then, you get impatient;
随后,你渐渐失去了耐心;

96. and, meanwhile, other things are being offered to you,
与此同时,其他的机会出现了,

97. and you do not know which one to choose;
于是你不知道该选择哪一个;

98. and, then, you fall,
然后,你就跌倒了,

99. and what happens when you are down?
当你跌倒的时候又是怎样一幅光景呢?

100. Lots of things go through your mind.
有很多的念头缠绕着你。

101. You are angry with God.
你对神发怒。

102. You are embarrassed with God.
你以神为耻。

103. You say, “Had You answered me, Lord, I wouldn’t be here...”
你说:“主阿,如果你回应了我,我也不至于此……”

104. then, you find yourself to be discouraged;
然后,你就发现自己陷入沮丧之中;

105. but do you know what the devil does when you’re down?
你知道当你跌倒的时候,魔鬼在干什么吗?

106. He will say to you,
他会告诉你:

107. “Since you’re down, you might as well stay down.
“既然你已经跌倒了,就躺在那里,别再起来了。

108. Stay where you are.
就待在那里。

109. You will never have the same relationship with the Lord again.
你将再也无法恢复与神的关系。

110. You will never be an example and a role model again.”
你再也不能成为人们效法的榜样。”

111. Meanwhile, what’s the Lord doing?
与此同时,我们的主在干什么呢?

112. He’s down there with you.
祂就在你身边。

113. He is saying to you,
祂在对你说:

114. “I love you.
“我爱你。

115. You are mine.
你是我的孩子。

116. I sealed you by my Holy Spirit.
我用圣灵在你身上做了印记。

117. I will never reject you.
我永远不会拒绝你。

118. I will never forsake you.
我永远不会离弃你。

119. You belong to Me.
你是属于我的。

120. Rise up and confess your sin.
站起来,忏悔你的罪。

121. Turn to Me and I will forgive you.”
向我回转,我会宽恕你。”

122. David said that the steps of the godly man are ordered by the Lord.
大卫说,义人的脚步,被耶和华立定。

123. Though they fall, they will not be utterly cast out.
他们虽失脚,也不至全身仆倒。

124. The reason you will not be cast out when you fall
当你失脚的时候,你之所以能够不至全身仆倒,

125. is not because of your wealth.
并不是因为你富有。

126. It’s not because of your importance in society.
也不是因为你社会地位显赫。

127. The reason God does not cast you out
神之所以没有让你全身仆倒,

128. is because of His name and His glory and His grace,
乃是因着祂的名,祂的荣耀和祂的恩典,

129. because He promised to uphold you with His own hand.
因为神已应允要用手搀扶你。

130. “In hindsight,” David tells us,
大卫告诉我们:“由于后知之明,

131. “I have been through a lot in life.”
我已在生活中经历了许多。”

132. He went to Achish.
他逃到亚吉那里的时候,

133. He pretended to be with the enemies.
他假装归顺敌人。

134. He pretended to be a madman.
他假装是一个疯子。

135. Sometimes, David probably felt that the Lord was going to say, “I’ve had enough of you, David...”
有时候,大卫可能感觉到神要对他说:“大卫,我已无法再容忍你了……”

136. but, instead, David says, “That is not true.”
但大卫却说:“那不是真的。”

137. David said,
大卫说:

138. “I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor their children begging for bread.”
“我未见过义人被弃,也未见过他的后裔讨饭。”

139. God is not only faithful to the righteous,
神不仅对义人信守诺言,

140. but He is also faithful to the children of the righteous.
也对义人的后裔信守诺言。

141. I have a word for all the Christians who are listening to me.
今天收听这个节目的所有基督徒,我想告诉你们,

142. You will never know what it is to live by faith
你永远也无法明白什么是靠信心而活,

143. until you risk something that is so important to you on God.
除非你肯为神舍弃那些你看重的东西。

144. I want to repeat this.
我想再重复一遍。

145. You will not know how to walk in faith until you risk something that is so important to you for God.
你无法明白如何凭信心而行,除非你肯为神舍弃那些你看重的东西。

146. Giving God your crumbs will never teach you the walk of faith.
把你吃剩的面包屑献给神,不会让你学会如何凭信心而行。

147. I hear people talk about the tough economic conditions,
我听到人们谈论自己的经济状况如何糟糕,

148. and they say, “We can’t afford to give anything to God;”
他们说:“我们再也拿不出什么献给神了”;

149. but that’s a terrible mistake.
这是一个可怕的错误。

150. When you are faithful with God,
只要你对神忠诚,

151. God will provide for you supernaturally.
神会用超自然的能力来供应你。

152. If you think that God is going to bless you based on the economy,
如果你认为神只会在经济上来赐福给你,

153. you do not know Him very well.
那你对神还了解不深。

154. Jesus did not say, “You cannot serve two masters - God and sin…”
耶稣没有说:“你不能事奉两个主,事奉神,又事奉罪……”

155. but, Jesus, Who created us,
创造我们的耶稣,

156. knew that mammon is a god that can and has a hold over us.
祂知道,玛门,也就是金钱,是一个对我们有控制力的偶像。

157. The greatest spiritual giant among us
我们当中最伟大的属灵伟人,

158. will have a hard time getting from out of mammon’s clutches.
也须费尽周折才能逃出玛门的魔爪。

159. That is why Jesus said,
所以,耶稣说:

160. “You cannot serve Me while your heart is in the clutches of mammon.”
当你的心还在玛门的魔爪之下,你不能事奉我。

161. In hindsight, God never forsakes His own.
事后来看,神从未离弃祂的儿女。
